  1. First go to Yahoo.com and begin to SIGNUP (for Yahoo). If you already have a Yahoo membership, then Sign In, if necessary. Instructions: Click or press space to move slide show forward,

  2. Second: Fill out the sign up form. There will be a “Captcha” to confirm that you are a real person, not a program.

  3. After completing and submitting form, there is a confirmation page. You should also set your marketing preferences to minimize spam email.

  4. After “Continue”, a second chance to edit marketing preferences and set up your email delivery preferences. Just click EDIT buttons for section you want to modify.

  5. You will have been sent the following confirmatory email. Be sure to click the one link. That verifies that the email you gave them is real. If you do not verify, they will not send to that address.

  6. For security purposes, you will be asked to sign in to Yahoo using the ID and Password that you just selected. Did you write it down?

  7. Now you have to visit the Unit 21 group in order to join. The URL is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SB_Unit_21/

  8. Since you are not yet a member, when you arrive at the group home page you will see a Join This Group! Button. Click it.

  9. Upon clicking the Join button you arrive at this page where you can edit your membership options. Be sure to pick where you want the mail to go. Otherwise the defaults are what most people want.

  10. You will again be asked to confirm that you are a person and then SAVE any changes you have made by clicking JOIN.

  11. That’s it. You will see a confirmation page. Be sure that the information is what you intended. I suggest that you UNCHECK the toolbar installation. Click continue if done, or click “here” to re-edit if necessary.
