  1. Romina Bona Co-Organizer ProZ.com

  2. MESSAGE: Good morning, My name is Romina Bona and I am the coordinator of the localization project at ProZ.com. I feel honored to have the opoortunity to join the Association of Asain Translation Industry, the Rajamangala University of Technology PhraNakhon, the National Eclectronics and Computer Technology Center  and the  ICT for All clubs  virtually today to celebrate “International Translation Day" and discuss the topic of "Translation, localization, Interpretation and Sign Language Strategies in Asean community”.  Romina Bona

  3. It is exciting to see how this celebration in Thailand has become a solid tradition after these years. Back in 2007 Maneerat enthusiastically organized the first virtual powwow in Thailand  to join other ProZ.com communities of translators who were gathering in many cities around the world to celebrate their profession. Five years later, I am very happy to see how this event grew in its importance and reach to become the magnificent celebration it is today. Romina Bona

  4. As the coordinator of the localization project at ProZ.com, I feel proud to announce that Thai is one of the languages into which major sections of the site have been localized and I'd like to invite you to vitist the site and check its Thai version.  I also want to congratulate Maneerat on her tireless drive to pull this event together and to gather such impressive speakers to discuss topics that are relevant to  translators around the globe. We at ProZ.com are delighted with this opportunity  and are eager to reflect on the insights that will be shared and presented today.  Romina Bona

  5. Special thanks to the community of translators in Thailand for always seeking ways to provide opportunities that translators can use to network, improve their work, expand their businesses and have more fun (as stated in ProZ.com's mission.)  Romina Bona

  6. On behalf of Henry Dotterer, ProZ.com's founder, and Jared Tabor, ProZ.com's member services manager, I’d like to conclude by wishing all translators and interpreters in Thailand and around the world a Happy International Translation Day! and by inviting you to join ProZ.com's2012 Virtual event series organized to celebrate international translation day with an entire week of online events for freelance translators. From Syracuse (USA), Kharkiv (Ukraine), and La Plata, (Argentina), Happy International Translation Day to all. Romina, Localization of ProZ.com  Romina Bona
