METAPHOR • A Metaphor is a figure of speech in which things are compared by stating that one thing is another. • Does not use “Like” or “As”.
Metaphor • The boy was a fish in the water.
Metaphor • The pillow was a cloud when I put my head on it after a long hard day.
Metaphor • Her hair was a knot of tangled rope.
Metaphor • The clown was a feather floating away.
Metaphor • Her fingernails were razors on the chalkboard.
