Tuning Amplitudes and Wire Timing Adjustments in ME1/1 ALCTs for Improved Efficiency

The amplitudes in ME1/1 have been calibrated to peak sizes observed at MTCC, specifically setting ADC counts to 350 in ME1/1 as opposed to 250 counts elsewhere. This adjustment needs confirmation. Additionally, wire timing has been centered, yielding improved ALCT performance. Notably, a delay of 7 ns has led to better centering of ALCTs, although a slight efficiency loss of 0.4% might be attributed to late tail effects. Is it advisable to maintain this configuration for optimal results moving forward?

  1. Tweaks in CSC Digis ME1/1 amplitudes were too big Now tuned to peak sizes I saw in MTCC 350 ADC counts in ME1/1 250 ADC counts elsewhere Can anyone confirm these numbers?

  2. Centered Wire Timing ð Bad ALCTs ALCT algorithm picks BX of second earliest digi

  3. Tune Wire Timing ð Better ALCTs • Delay by 7 ns • ALCTs now centered well • Some efficiency loss (0.4%). Because of late tail? • Keep this?
