Second who tells everyone to stay till late and do not leave the office till the work is complete and even the last of the team member is ready to leave. The philosophy of "Do as I say, not as I do" is a recipe for the doom of the company. With the first kind of boss, you can easily see the loss of goodwill and enthusiasm around you. Becoming a leader is not easy. Once you will be VJIM, all the theories you will study about Management and what the great leaders talked about you, it will make you realise that manager is not the one who orders. He is the one who gets things done from you at the same time making you feel that you wanted to do it. Why Leading By Example Is Important? So who you want to be? A manager or a leader? Well! We would say, in order to be successful, you need to be both. As leader, you need to inspire your team and become a role model to them so they push themselves beyond limits and turn the company to greatness. In order to do this, you need to first create your own example. Being a leader is important but at the same time, you need to be a good manager and give your team a certain direction. You can do so by projecting goals and setting deadlines all in consensus with your team.
