Upcoming Learning Activities (Sept 29 - Oct 3) for Ms. Drumm's 3rd Grade Class

This week in Ms. Drumm's class, we will continue our reading of *Because of Winn-Dixie*, focusing on themes and sequential order. Tests on these skills, along with vocabulary, will be on Friday. Spelling words include: land, act, grand, and more, with a test on Friday as well. In math, we will complete a review for our Unit 3 test on Tuesday, plus study multiplication. Language lessons will cover helping verbs, linking verbs, and correct comma usage. Remember to check and initial your child's agenda daily!

We’ll be working on theme and sequential order. Test over these skills, the book, and vocabulary will be on Friday. Spelling: land, act, grand, stick, thing, swim, plan, last, stamp, trip, lift, list, stand, band, sand, bat, fan, miss, win, brick . Test on Friday Math: After completing a review and study guide for 3 digit addition and subtraction on Monday, we will take our Unit 3 test on Tuesday. Your child can earn 2 bonus points if you help them study then sign the study guide! We will be studying multiplication this week. Language: We will learn about helping verbs, linking verbs, and commas in a series. Test on Friday. The more you read, the better you read! Read each night and take AR tests each week! **Please check your child’s agenda and initial each night…they do earn an agenda grade.** Homework Signed Papers Folder: *Study Math study guide and sign it for 2 bonus points! * HW Packet due Friday * Read a book of your choice each night * Study Vocab & Spelling each night * Be working on your Reading Fair Board Signed Papers Folder will go home each Tuesday. Please sign every graded paper inside of it, and return them all to school inside the folder.
