  2. Dear Parents: During this quarter in FLES class we will cover the theme of ALL ABOUT ME (Todoacerca de mi). Your child will learn to: respond to questions about himself/herself (2) tell about his/her birthday, siblings and pets (3) state favorite animal, color and sport. As a culmination to this theme your child will be asked to create a presentation of himself/herself (all about me) using the vocabulary learned in FLES class. This presentation will be started and worked on during class. Please have child finish anything not completed in class and please practice at home. A hard copy has been given to your child to use in class. An electronic copy is available on the FLES page of your school’s website. Your child will create a poster for this theme. If your child desires to make something else for his/her presentation in addition to the poster, he/she may. Ideas include making a PowerPoint, a video, etc. The questions below, which will be covered in class, must be included in your child’s presentation. Your child may include more information, but these are the minimum requirements. The questions below are provided for your information. Your child will be allowed to use his/her hard copy when presenting his/her project if he/she chooses. The following are the questions covered in class and needed for the presentation: QUESTIONS: 1. (How many siblings do you have?) ¿Cuándoestucumpleaños? (When is your birthday?) ¿Quémascotatienes?  (What pet do you have?)

  4. PROYECTO: TODO ACERCA DE MI Student Instructions Purpose: You will use “All About Me” Spanish vocabulary and grammar to tell aboutyourself. You will respond to questions about your age, where you live, your birthday, your siblings, and your pets. You will describe your favorite animal, sport, and color. Objectives: You will create and give a presentation using learned Spanish grammar and vocabulary on the “All About Me” topic. Task: You will work on your own to create a presentation on the topic of “All About Me”.You will create a poster to be used when you present to the class. In addition to the poster, you have the option of making a powerpoint or video to use during your presentation. • The following 3 categories and the questions below them must be covered in your presentation. The presentation can be no longer than 3 minutes. You may include more, but the minimum requirements are as follows: QUESTIONS: • 1. Questions about yourself: • ¿Cómote llamas? (What is your name?) ¿Cuántosañostienes? (How old are you?) • ¿Dóndevives?    (Where do you live?) • 2. Birthday, siblings, and pets • ¿Cuándoestucumpleaños? (When is your birthday?) • ¿Cuántoshermanostienes? (How many siblings do you have?) • ¿Quémascotatienes?  (What pet do you have?) • 3. Favorites • ¿Cuálestu animal favorito? (What is your favorite animal?) • ¿Cuálestudeportefavorito? (What is your favorite sport?) • ¿Cuálestu color favorito? (What is your favorite color?) • Project questions (the two pages given in class): You cannot start creating your Poster (or optional Power point/video) until teacher has checked your answers for any mistakes! Student Learning Assessment: Students will be assessed on their speaking and presentational skills.
