  5. Model Article • (Title)-Traitors Destroyed • --Jan. 23rd, St. Petersberg, Russia –(Date and place) • John Doe-(Author) • Russian Times-(Publication) • --On a cold blistery day in St. Petersburg violent protestors gathered with sticks, stones, and guns demanding more money from the Czar. Soldiers created a protective wall around the Winter Palace in order to protect Czar Nicholas. Rioters were heard chanting “Kill the Czar!” “Kill the Czar”. Soon 200,000 citizens gathered and the anger boiled until it erupted like a volcano. Government officials say a shot was fired from the crowd and mildly injured a soldier. In response the Czar’s men fired several volleys into the crowd wounding protesters and killing multiple people. An eye witness, Ivan Chekov, described the snow as a bed of blood, “the ground look like a bed of blood”. In response to this terrible uprising the Czar Nicholas II will put the military on high alert and stamp out any more protests that may arise.

  6. A News Article • A news article can be biased • unfairly prejudiced for or against someone or something • You can write in a manner that makes the protestors seem like the bad guys OR in a manner that makes them seem like the good guys OR just be a truly ethical journalist and not be biased
