  2. The Tudor dynasty Henry Vll(the Lancaster) married Elizabeth of York (the York). This marriage united the two families. Henry created the Tudor rose, containing both the White rose of York and the Red Rose of Lancaster. It symbolized the end of a struggle between York and Lancaster

  4. Henry VII • Born: 28. January 1457. • Died: 21. April 1509. • It was the first Tudor. • His wife was Elizabeth of York and they had a daughter Margaret Tudor. • They have four children: Arthur, Mary, Henry VIII And Margaret.

Henry VIII (Jindřich VIII) • Henry VIII was born on June 28,1491 and died 28,1547 January. • He had reigned from 1509 to 1547. • He had six wives: • Catherine of Aragon (annulled; died while detained under guard at Kimbolton Castle), • Anne Boleyn (executed), • Jane Seymour (died days after giving birth, widely believed to be following birth complications), • Anne of Cleves (annulled) • Catherine Howard (executed), • Catherine Parr (survived) • Henry’s parents were Elizabeth of York and Henry VII. He founded the Church of England and proclaimed himself the head o fit. • Children: Mary, Elizabeth, Edward

Henry VIII (1491-1547) • Henry VIII was King of England from 21 April 1509 until his death. • Henry VIII was the second monarch of the House of Tudor, succeeding his father, Henry VII. • Henry VIII is known for his role in the separation of the Church of England from the Roman Catholic Church and establishing himself as the Supreme Head of the Church of England.   7. Margaret Tudor • was born on November 28, 1489 • She was the elder of the two surviving daughters of Henry VII. • Her mother was Elizabeth of York • She died on October 18, 1541 • She married James IV • Margaret and James had one son – James V

  8. Anna Boleyn • She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Boleyn, and his wife Lady Elizabeth Howard. • Husband: Henry VIII • Daughter: Elizabeth I • Anna was executed on the 19th May, 1536

  9. Anne Boleyn • Was queen of England • Was daughter of Elizabeth Howard and Thomas Boleyn. • Was married to King Henry VIII on 25 January 1533. • Had a daughter Elizabeth • She was executed by the sword in 19 May 1536

  10. Jane Seymour • lived 1508- 1537 • Was third wife of Henry VIII • She was proclaimed Queen of England on 4th June • Her motto: „Bound to obey and serve“ • She was a catholic • She was mother of Edward I • She died 12 days after giving a birth to Edward I

  11. Mary I. • Lived in 1516- 1558 • Daughter of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon • Engaged when she was 2 • In the processes of suppressing Protestantism, • About 300 religious rebels were burned and the Queen gained the nickname Bloody Mary.

  12. Mary I • Mary I was the Queen of England and Ireland from July 1553 until her death. • She was daughter of Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon. • In 1554, Mary married Philip of Spain.

Elizabeth I. • Reign: 1558- 1603 • queen of Ireland and England • she was born in 1533, in Greenwich, England • her parents were Henry VIII. and Anne Boleyn • Elizabeth was the fifth and last monarch of the Tudor dynasty • had 2 half-siblings: Mary I. and Edward IV. • her grandparents were – Elizabeth of York and Henry VII. • she hired the pirates that attacked Spanish ships, her favourite pirate was Francis Drake • she did not have a husband and children

King Edward VI. *1537-1553 • He was the son of Henry VII and Jane Seymour. • In 1543, Henry VIII signed ‘Peace treaty’ with Scotland and to strengthen this agreement he betrothed his son Eduard to the seven-month-old daughter of the Scottish king, Mary. • Henry wanted to take advantage and disadvantage of Scots and gradually united the two kingdoms. • He was married to the daughter of the King of Scotland, Mary. • He died due to illness.

  16. Mary , Queen of Scots • Mary was queen from 1542 to 1587. • Her mother was Margaret Tudor. • And her father was James V. • Her first baby was son – James, who became the king of England after the death of the Queen Elizabeth I

  17. Mary, QueenofScots Mary was the only surviving legitimate child of King James V of Scotland. She was 6 days old when her father died and she succeeded to the throne. She was crowned nine months later. Mary, QueenofScots (1542 –1587), alsoknown as Mary StuartorMary I ofScotland Mary was a daughter of James V, King of Scots. She was the great-niece of King Henry VIII of England, as her grandmother, Margaret Tudor, was Henry VIII's sister. Mary was executed on the order of Queen Elizabeth I.

King Charles I Father: James I (VI of Scots)Mother: Anne of DenmarkBorn:November 19, 1600 Died:January 30, 1649 at Whitehall, London (executed) • Charles was the 2nd son of James VI of Scotland (James 1 of England) and Anne of Denmark. • He became heir to the throne on the death of his brother Henry in 1612. • In 1625 he married Henrietta Maria, daughter of Henry IV of France. • Their children were Charles and James (who became Charles II and James II), and Mary who married William II of Orange and was the mother of William III.
