The Second Chance Math (SCM) program at Hampton-Dumont High School aims to improve 9th-grade math proficiency through innovative teaching methods and routines. With a focus on student engagement, relevant learning, and co-teaching strategies, SCM addresses achievement gaps while maintaining high expectations. The program includes daily practice sessions, technology integration, and collaborative classroom structures. Evaluation through MAP and ITED scores ensures ongoing improvements and prepares students for post-secondary success and career readiness.
