  6. South Carolina • Recycling Market Development Advisory Council • SC Recycling Council • Sales Tax Exemption • Dept of Commerce

  7. Florida • Recycling Business Assistance Center • Created 2010 • Sales Tax Exemption (Businesses have saved over $42.7 million in sales tax on resource recovery equipment in Florida) • Recycling Loan Program, Private Investment • Tax Credit 0.5% • 75% Recycling Goal?

  8. Tennessee • Grant Program • $125 Million distributed to date • Sales Tax Exemption • Department of Economic and Community Development collaboration • Beverage containerincentive

  9. Georgia • 3-8% Tax Credit for Facilities or Equipment • Electronics disposal Ban • Closed the Recycling Office • Reporting no longerrequired

  10. Kentucky • Tax Credit up 50% • KRMA program – Information Exchange

  11. Alabama • Grant Program started 2009, $6 Million to local governments

  12. Virginia • 10% Tax Credit • Litter Prevention and Recycling Grant Programs, In 2011, $1,522,627 was disbursed • 2012 Solid Waste Reporting no longer required < 90,000 pop. • RMDC closed 2011
