Educating the Investor “ The false advertising”

On October 8, 2010, Dr. Fadi Khalaf, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Stock Exchanges, emphasized the need for a collaborative approach to investor education. He highlighted that stock exchanges and regulators must engage various stakeholders, including financial intermediaries and media, to effectively reach investors. The focus should be not just on promoting investment opportunities, but also on raising awareness of the risks involved and combating false advertising practices, especially in online trading. A comprehensive program should foster dialogue among educators, ensuring that investor protection services are included and that education is tailored to diverse audiences.
