  1. Do Now9/24/12 Complete the following task in the Do Now section of your notebook: You have three known liquids and one unknown. What are some tests you could do to determine if your unknown liquid is the same as one of your knowns?

  2. CSI Lab When not in the lab setting you are to finish the following: 1. On a separate sheet of paper complete the worksheet “Directed Reading A”. You do not have to write the questions. 2. On a separate sheet of paper create a 20 question quiz with answers that covers the following topics: Matter, Physical vs. Chemical Properties, and Physical vs. Chemical Change.

  3. Conclusive Writing Task: You are to write a conclusive essay that summarizes the work you have done in the lab setting. During this lab you were a CSI detective. Write the paper as if you are writing to the police chief. - Opening Paragraph: Describe the lab itself and the purpose of doing the experiments you did. - Body: Describe the method you took to solve the mystery and the importance of each station. - Conclusion: Describe your answer the mystery and how you know.
