  2. List of School Council Sub-Committees Fundraising Goodwill Graduation Staff Appreciation Day Public Relations Volunteer Recruitment Backyard BBQ

  3. Fundraising Committee Develop, plan and coordinate revenue-generating activities • Lead and coordinate school council fundraising initiatives • Chair sub-committee meetings • Present large scale ideas to council for consideration • Prepare report for council post-activities with results

  4. Goodwill Committee Build relationships through caring, inclusive acts of kindness • Provide a token of council’s best wishes as appropriate • Tasks may include (but not limited to): • Purchase gift cards • Maintain inventory of gifts • Represent council at assemblies • Write greeting cards on behalf of council • Provide treats for teachers • Maintain a spreadsheet of recipients • Report to council on monthly basis

Staff Appreciation Day Plan and execute the annual Staff Appreciation Day (June) • Plan and prepare thank you notes, food and/or treats • Liaison with Principal to discuss plans • Purchase gifts for every staff person • Arrange for any “extras” such as interviews with students • Decorate staff room • Be available to help • Clean up afterwards

Public Relations Committee Promote school council services and activities • Facilitate print materials and communicate initiatives of council • Maintain BPS bulletin board outside the main office • Coordinate a school council presence at school events • Greet parents, answer questions, help recruit new parents • Help facilitate: • newsletter content and communications • school council website • fundraising advertising • promo handouts • posters
