Lit Group Instructions

You will be meeting with your Lit Groups twice a week between now and May 2 nd . The meetings will be on Tuesdays and Fridays. You will have a job to perform at each meeting. These jobs should be completed BEFORE your meeting…not during your meeting.

  1. You will be meeting with your Lit Groups twice a week between now and May 2nd. • The meetings will be on Tuesdays and Fridays. • You will have a job to perform at each meeting. • These jobs should be completed BEFORE your meeting…not during your meeting. • You will be graded on your performance on your role as well as your participation in your group. Things you need to accomplish in today’s meeting include: • Determine who is doing what job at each of the meetings. • Type in your “role” on the calendar so that you know which job you will do for each meeting. • Each member MUST do each job TWICE! • Begin reading the novel and working on your first role. We will TRY doing these on Notability, but if you turn in less than fabulous work, we will move to paper. Lit Group Set Up

The Summarizer will begin to help everyone review the reading to be discussed during this meeting. • The Clarifier will then share his/her sheet with the group to clear up any confusion from the reading. • The Predictor will then share his/her predictions. As a group fill out the back of the Predictor sheet. • The Questioner will close out the meeting with asking his/her questions. As a group fill out the back of the Questioner sheet. • Before you leave, make sure you know what you’re reading and what job you’re doing for your next meeting. Lit Group Meeting Agenda
