  2. Religions The main religions of the region are Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. But, the primary religion in Israel is Judaism. The main similarity between the religions, besides Israel itself, is that they are both monotheistic. They all believe in one god, and angels and demons. They also all believe that salvation is achieved by correct beliefs and good deeds. http://deoxy.org

  4. Differences The Jews claim that Israel is theirs because they feel the land was rightfully given to them. They also have deep historic roots there, as the Torah states that the great fathers of the Jewish nation lived there. The Christians want Israel because that is where they say the first Christians worshipped and that is where Christianity originated, so the land should be theirs. The Muslims would like to have Israel partly because they hate the Jews, and some even feel that Jews are Satanic.

  6. Peace Plan We will divide Israel equally and no matter what religion, people will have to worship peacefully amongst each other. There should be people set aside to monitor this peaceful worship, and punishments should be harsh for those who do not cooperate. This is the only way to accommodate all of the major religions in that region. Jerusalem could be given to the United Nations

Israeli Leaders-President: Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister: Ehud Olmert US relationship- US takes the side of the Jewish people Viewed- the rest of the world views this as unfair Feelings towards Palestinians- Jewish people believe that Israel was the promised land given to them by their god. People that say different are viewed as bad. Mistreatment- Israeli police can be harsh towards Palestinian people. Police have been known to break arms and legs. Obstacles of peace- Terrorist groups that want the destruction of Israel
