This Session’s Goals: • TEACHER’S GOALS • CREATE LESSON PLANS UTILIZING MORE THAN ONE THINKING MAP • ENGAGING STUDENTS TO DAILY INTEGRATE THINKING MAPS IN THEIR LEARNING • MODEL BY WRITING DAILY OBJECTIVES ON A FLOW MAP • STUDENT’S GOALS • UTILIZE ALL THINKING MAPS IN ALL SUBJECTS • DEMONSTRATE USAGE OF THINKING MAPS TO INCREASE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS • SET GOALS FOR BLOCK ON A CLASSIFYING MAP TO IMPROVE LEARNING

  6. Raise your hand, holding up either one, two, three or four fingers based on your assignment. Locate someone else with the same number and pair with that person. Exchange maps and discuss your ideas with each other. “Borrow” ideas from each other and add them to your own map. COLLABORATION DURING CLASS PERIOD Hold the map you have created in your hand and stand up.

  10. THINKING MAPS ACROSS ALL CONTENT AREAS STEP 3: Post your examples by Thinking Map.

  11. Create a Tree Map to identify words that are critical to academic content for several units you will be teaching this year.

  12. REFLECTION (TICKET OUT THE DOOR) CREATE A THINKING MAP OF YOUR CHOICE THAT YOU WILL USE WITH YOUR STUDENTS. WRITE THE REFLECTION QUESTION[S] AND PLEASE ANSWER AS A LEARNER TODAY.  THANK YOU.
