  3. Warm-up activities(1-1) • Revision • 1. What is Bill of Lading? • B/L is a certificate issued by carrier to a shipper evidencing that the goods in good condition have been received or shipped on board the named vessel; promising to deliver the goods to the named consignee.

Generally, the bill of lading has been evidence to prove that the goods have shipped on board a ship,signed by the person (or his agent),contracts to carry them,and stating the terms on which the goods were

Certificate of Origin (2-1) • GSP Form A • Explanation • The Generalized System of Preferences Certificate of Origin Form A which it is called GSP Form A is a system under which the developed countries undertake to provide preferential treatment for the manufactured and semi-manufactured goods imported by them from the developing countries.

  13. Certificate of Origin (2-2) • It is generalized because all the developing countries without exception should be admitted to such preferences. In other words, under no circumstances should the GSP discriminate against any one of the developing countries.

Certificate of Origin (2-3) • Generalized System of Preferences/Certificate of Origin):“GSPU,“FORM A(form A)” • Example: • “Declare: A, that the final process of manufacture of the goods for which special parts are claimed has been performed in China and B, that not less than one half of the factory cost of the goods is represented by the value of labour and material of China.
