  2. Cindy Gibson – Is light skin with long blonde hair she is very lanky and has crisp golden brown eyes. • Bobby Wallace- Is a dark skin young man with long black hair he is built slim and has dark brown eyes

  3. The setting- • Bluford high school is a small school, where some of the worst kids go. It is on a fairly decent side of town but its very small and horrible. Its not even the school it’s the people that are in it that make it this horrible. Where drugs are sold by students and civilians and drug abusers sometimes come and shoot up.

  4. Conflict • The conflict is that Bobby keeps putting his hands on Cindy and she does not know why. Harold has told her that he was on drugs but she always denied it. This was man vs. man conflict and the resolution happened at this Halloween party Bobby took her to then she finally noticed he was on drugs by the look in his eyes and the way he was acting.

  5. Prediction or inference • Early on during the story I predicted that Bobby and Raffie Whitaker (Cindy’s new step dad) were drug dealers. But boy was I wrong when I finished the book I noticed Raffie was a drug dealer and Bobby was the abuser. Also that was the reason Bobby kept constantly putting his hands on Cindy.

  7. Theme • The theme of this story is about the struggles that modern day African Americans go through. How they deal with it, never give up and just look for love. Also how when people can’t find companionship they end up doing things they regret whether they think it’s the right choice or not is the question we ask our selves but the true reason is because we can’t find unconditional love or in other words someone to love you or me for what we are and who we are.
