  2. Digital Marketing is also known as Online or Internet Marketing, is a digital way of promotion of business products and services. Digital Marketing can be done with the help of Search Engines (i.e. Google, Yahoo, Bing, Baidu, Yandex, DuckDuckGo etc.), Social Media platforms (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, interest etc.), Emails or/and Content.

  3. Digital Marketing Is Further Divided Into The Following Major Techniques : SEO (Search Engine Optimization) 2. SMO (Social Media Optimization) 3. SEM (Search Engine Marketing) 4. SMM (Social Media Marketing)

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) SEO or Search Engine Optimization is the process of optimization of a website using on-page and off-page techniques to improve its search engine visibility and organic traffic. SEO involves the optimization of a website to help it rank better in SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages) for a particular set of keywords.

  5. SMO (Social Media Optimization) SMO or Social Media Optimization is the process of promoting business, product and services on popular social media platforms (like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram etc.), Video sharing websites (like YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion, MetaCafe etc.) and Blogging platforms (like Blogger, WordPress, Weebly, Medium, Tumblr etc.).

  6. SEM (Search Engine Marketing) Search Engine Marketing or SEM is the process of paid promotion of products and services on search engines and their network. The common platforms used for SEM are Google, Bing and Yahoo Ads. Usually, PPC (pay per click), CPC (cost per click), CPA (cost per acquisition) and CPM (cost per 1000 impressions) techniques are used in Search Engine Marketing to run paid ads on search engines and their display network.

SMM (Social Media Marketing) Unlike SMO, SMM is a paid marketing technique used for promotion of products and services on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. Similar to SEM, in SMM also we run paid ads, but these ads only run on those specific social networking platform which is providing that paid promotion technique. In SMM, we use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn ads for promoting posts, product pages, business pages and profiles.
