  10. Sport, culture • Public investments – from state and EU grants, from budgets of individual towns • Operation of own facilities – from budgets of towns and entrance-fees, own investments • Activity grants – town and regional grants

  11. Investments to sport in NB Winter-sports stadium - roofing, reconstruction - 50 mil. CZK (2 mil. €(so far))

  12. Open-air pool – reconstruction 2006 - 38 mil. CZK (1,6 mil. €)

  13. Football field with artificial turf in Chudonice – 2007, 16 mil. CZK (0,7 mil. €)

  14. Sport-ring with winter compressed-air hall – 2002, 11 mil. CZK (0.5 mil.€)

  15. Operation of sport-facilities in NB • Budget of Technical services for 2008 is 16 mil. CZK ( 640 000 €) • From that, budget of sports-grounds is 2,3 mil CZK (100 000 €)

  16. Investments into cultural facilities in NB • Jirásek theatre 60 mil. CZK (2,2 mil. €) reconstruction finished in 2003 out of the total amount: 44 mil. CZK (1,6 mil. €) – state grant

  17. Operation of cultural facilities in NB • Jirasek Theatre • Culture club MEKKA • Public town library • Town museum and gallery • Expected operation costs for 2008 are 8 mil CZK (320 000 €)

  18. Sport and culture grants Since 2006, the town annually provides organizations as well as individuals with: -culture grants 300 000 CZK (12 000 €) -sport grants 500 000 CZK (20 000 €)

  19. Forestry • Forests ownership – towns, State forests, private persons (Town of Novy Bydzov owns 875 hectares of forests and 6 fish-ponds) • State regulatory instrument – forest management plan • State grants

  20. Hunting • Hunting associations and unions • 17 unions in Novy Bydzov region • In the region, there are 17 hunting-grounds with total area of 19 hectares, where 324 registered hunters use their rights to hunt
