  1. What to Know Before Moving to Dallas Real estate company in Dallas–If you’re considering moving to the city of Dallas, it’s important to keep in mind what living in such a large city is really like. It’s certainly no secret that moving to a new place can be both exciting and stressful, and living in a state like Texas can definitely be a real challenge. Here are three things that you should know prior to moving to the city of Dallas. City Living It’s important to note that Dallas is one city that’s extremely large. This is especially the case in terms of the city’s growth and population. In fact, Dallas is around 343 square miles in size, and the area has recently gained more new residents than any other metropolitan area in the United States. Traffic When it comes to daily life in Dallas, the one big thing that’s included as part of this is traffic. The city is home to perhaps some of the most congested highways in the entire state of Texas, and with the city being as spread out as it is, Dallas residents typically have to deal with longer commutes as opposed to other cities.

  2. In terms of the entire Dallas area, the most terrible commute goes to Royse City, which is a small town located approximately 34 miles east of Dallas itself. On average, the one-way commute time is 36 minutes. No State Income Tax It’s important to note that as opposed to other states, Texas residents are not required to pay any state or local personal income taxes at any time. However, this means that you do have to pay in another way, which means you do still have to pay sales and property taxes. In terms of your first property tax bill, you may experience a bit of a shock when you see it, as residents of Texas pay perhaps some of the highest property tax bills in the entire United States. In terms of sales tax, Texas currently charges a 6.25% sales tax. Thank you for visiting the Weichert Realtors – Bev Young and Associates blog, a real estate company in Dallas.
