  2. ROCAS MAGMÁTICAS

  3. Formación de las rocas magmáticas o ígneas Se forman por la solidificación de un magma, de ahí su nombre. Son rocas que se generan como consecuencia de algunos procesos geológicos internos. Esta solidificación puede producirse tanto en la superficie como en el interior terrestre

  4. Clasificación Solo el 35% del magma que se forma en el interior terrestre alcanza la superficie. El resto se queda en el interior. Esto permite clasificar las rocas magmáticas en dos tipos: volcánicas y plutónicas

  5. Rocas volcánicas. Se forman cuando el magma alcanza la superficie, se enfría y se solidifica. Tienen una textura hipocristalina o vítrea debido a su rápido enfriamiento. BASALTO PUMITA

  6. Rocas plutónicas El magma que permanece en el interior terrestre y solidifica forma las rocas volcánicas. Tienen textura holocristalina debido a su lento enfriamiento. GRANITO SIENITA
