Easter Celebrations around the World. Poland. On Sunday morning in Poland, beautifully laid tables are covered with coloured eggs, cold meats, sausages , ham, yeast cakes, pound cakes, poppy-seed cakes, and in the middle of it all, a lamb made of sugar. No warm meals are served.

Poland • On Sunday morning in Poland, beautifully laid tables are covered with coloured eggs, cold meats, sausages, ham, yeast cakes, pound cakes, poppy-seed cakes, and in the middle of it all, a lamb made of sugar. • No warm meals are served. • Sharing a boiled egg with your family is a national tradition. Germany • Easter Sunday is Family Day.Their is a special Easter lunch with coloured eggs and a cake which is shaped like a lamb. • They also eat other sweet foods such as cookies, cake and chocolate on this day and the best part of the day is the hiding of the eggs and cookies in the garden. • Another tradition is the Easter Fire which is where all the old Christmas trees are gathered up and burnt in a special place, this is done so as to clean away the last signs of winter and moving onto spring.

  5. The Philippines • In The Philippines street parades are held on Good Friday with people carrying large crosses to re-enact Jesus's walk to His crucifixion.

  6. India • Some of the Easter events that take place in India are the wonderful carnivals in the state of Goa where street plays, songs, dances are staged. • Easter gifts and presents like chocolate cake, flowers and colourful lanterns are given to friends and families.
