Participate in the Alabama/Auburn Reading Contest by reading 6 books by Oct. 25th and meeting 9 Weeks Goals. Parents sign the form, and turn it in weekly to win Tickets to the Iron Bowl and exciting prizes. Turn in library book requests for chances to win cash prizes. Exclusive to K-8 Alabama Public School students!

  1. Open Checkouts Listed on back of Library Pass If I have a make-up class, go back to your class….Do NOT wait outside the door. Take tests Quietly put your book on the counter, get a marker & go to the shelf. 2-3 minutes to choose a book Type lunch number, look for your name, scan Luverne Elementary Barcode, check the title of the book, click Next Patron

  2. AR • 9 Weeks Goals 1st & 2nd– 10 points 3rd, 4th & 5th – 15 points 6th– 25 points • 80 average • Goody Bag—candy, stickers, mini coloring book • Take tests during “Open Checkouts”

  3. Alabama/Auburn Reading Contest • Read 6 books on level by Oct. 25th • Parents must complete the form and sign • Turn in to Teachers Bring to Library each week • Grand Prize—Tickets to the Iron Bowl with 2 guests, a visit to the athletic hospitality room & a visit on the field during the game • 2 Winners—one for AL, one for AU K-8 Alabama Public School students ONLY • Bookmarks Today • 2nd Prize to schools with 70 % Participation--$5000 drawing for school library • 3rd prize—$1500 drawing for 2 participating teachers for classroom
