  3. Necessary items need before participation: • Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) pre-participation physical evaluation and consents form. • MOT Charter School Athletic Participation & Eligibility Agreement • Once the team rosters have been established, there be a $50 participating fee (per sport).

  4. Student-Athlete Eligibility Academic Eligibility. Athletes are students first and we must ensure that students have maximum opportunity to succeed in school. Therefore, students must maintain passing grade averages in all core classes and must not have lower than an 80% in more than 2 core classes. If a student fails to maintain these minimum benchmarks, he/she shall be suspended from the team until he/she obtains the minimum grade averages.

  5. Student-Athlete Eligibility Conduct Eligibility. If a student receives a single demerit, the student shall be suspended from participating in the next contest. If a student receives more than 3 demerits (at once or cumulative), the student shall be suspended from the team for the season. Any student who has been suspended from school in the current academic year is ineligible to participate on any competitive team. Unless an exception has been granted by the Administration, a student must be in attendance for at least ½ of the school day to be eligible to participate in practice or a game that day.

  6. Field Hockey Equipment • Players are responsible for: • Shin guards • Socks (color TBD by team) • Mouth guard (all players) • Eye Protection • Stick(s) • Cleats • School will provide: • Goalie Gear • 2 Jerseys • 1 skirt • * Uniforms are to be returned after the season

  7. Soccer Equipment • Players are responsible for: • Shin guards • Socks (color TBD by team) • Mouth guard (only if wearing braces) • Cleats • School will provide: • 2 Jerseys • 1 pair of shorts • * Uniforms are to be returned after the season

  8. Volleyball Equipment • Players are responsible for: • Knee pads • Sneakers • Mouth guard (only if wearing braces) • School will provide: • 1 Jersey • * Uniforms are to be returned after the season

  9. Cross Country Equipment • Players are responsible for: • Sneakers • Shorts (color TBD by team) • School will provide: • 1 Jersey • * Uniforms are to be returned after the season

  10. Under Shirts and Accessories • Undershirts, such Under Armour or short sleeves, must be the same color as the primary color of the jersey. Home jerseys are white and away jerseys are red. • Head and wrist bands are to be of school colors (Red, Yellow, or White).

  11. DIAA POLICIES & PROCEDURES * MOUTH GUARD RULE * Must be worn by ALL who have METAL braces. Must cover top brace and separate biting surfaces. Must extend to shield lower braces. Is this one legal? No. Cannot be white or clear

  13. Field Hockey Eye Protection • Needs to meet ASTM F803 Standards.

  14. Field Hockey Stick • Shall weigh no more than 26 ounces • Must pass through a 2 in. ring • The bow of the stick shall not exceed a bow of 25mm.

  15. Final Rosters • Due to a possible high number of interests for a given sports, all 6th graders and first year 7th and 8th graders are not guaranteed a place on the roster each year. Tryouts may be applied where needed.
