Dominant vs Recessive • Dominant Allele • One whose trait always shows up in the organism when the allele is present • Recessive Allele • Is hidden whenever the dominant allele is present • A trait controlled by a recessive allele will only show up if the organism does not have the dominant allele.

6. Homozygous vs Heterozygous • Homozygous • Having two identical alleles for a trait • Homozygous dominant • 2 dominant alleles • Homozygous recessive • 2 recessive alleles • Heterozygous • Having two different alleles for a trait • One dominant allele and one recessive allele
