Iqbal Folder • Write your first and last name on the tab at the top. • Write Iqbal by Francesco D’Adamo in the center of your folder. • Draw a carpet, a kite, some bricks, and a bus anywhere on the front – color them. • Write the names of these characters anywhere on the front: Iqbal, Fatima, Maria, Salman, Karim, Mohammed, Ali, Twig, Eshan, Hussain

  6. Envious – Feeling or expressing envy (jealousy) I was envious of my neighbors because their Christmas decorations were absolutely beautiful. Parched - To make thirsty After the hike up the mountain, I was parched and needed a gallon of water. Bellwork: In your Iqbal folder, copy the words, definitions, and example sentences on your VOCABULARY sheet. You will have 5 words on the front and 5 on the back.

You can color it if you have time. 7. Defied - To refuse to submit to or cooperate with The boy defied his mother when he went outside without completing his homework. 8. Resumed - To begin or take up again after interruption All of the students resumed working after the fire drill.

Then with your partner, re-read all of Chp. 8 and complete the Cause and Effect chart on pg. 9 in your folder.
