  2. Family • John walker Baylor was born in Woodlawn KentuckyinDecember 1813.he was born in the family of John Walker and Sophia Marie Baylor. His father was an army physician, his grand father ,captain Baylor walker, was in charge of Gorge Washington's life guard.

  3. Career before the military • Before the Alamo he was in the military he fought at the battle of goliad garrison and fought under James bowie and James fannin on October 9.

  4. Military involvement • He had been in the millitary for a long time before the Alamo, but when it started John Walker Baylor was one of the for or five men sent by William B. Travis to La Bahia to urge fannin to come to his aid. Their he became a member of captain john shakelford’s red rovers. Then he joined captain Albert c horton’s cavalry on march 14 and took part in many small battles with general José de urreas..

  5. Interesting facts • John walker baylor fought in the five day siege of bexer on december 5-9, 1835. • He signed the goliad declaration of independenc on december 20. • He developed a fever and died on September 3, 1836 in cahaba.
