  1. Today’s Bellringer 02/21/13 Correct the following sentence errors. When jack and me helps clean the chemistry lab we wash the flasks test tubes and beakers.

  2. Copy these notes into your notebook Interjections- one or more words used to express mild or strong emotion. They are usually located at the beginning of a sentence. There are no questions to find interjections. They are named and then labeled with an I. Example: Oh! Well, Wow Hey! Yes,

  3. Wow! The race car crashed into the wall at a tremendous speed!

  4. Whew! The mountain climbers gasped and panted in the thin air yesterday.

  5. COTW Writing Activity In your notebook, respond to ONE of the following questions. Your response should be AT LEAST ONE PAGE IN LENGTH! 1.)Write about a bully you’ve known. How is your bully similar to Spitz? Provide at least two examples from the text. 2.) Write a dramatic scene in which Buck confronts Spitz. Create human dialogue for each of the characters showing their emotional and mental states. 3.) Write a poem reflecting the compassion the drivers have for their dogs. Be sure to use examples from the text. 4.) Compose a song describing Buck’s and Spitz’s death battle. Be sure to use examples from the text.

  6. Think Tank Time! “There is an ecstasy that marks the summit of life, and beyond which life cannot rise.
