  1. Welcome to SOTA! October 15, 2013

  2. Overview • Upcoming service events • SOTA Fall Festival • Poster Making and T-Shirt Distribution!

  3. Talbot Elementary Fall Festival • Get excited for the Talbot Elementary School Annual Fall Festival! • It’s on Thursday, October 24th from 4-7pm at Talbot Elementary • Volunteers will help run stations similar to our festival (more on that in a few minutes) • Look out for an email from Chelsea, who will be organizing carpooling to the event

  4. Sidney Lanier Fall Festival • Sidney Lanier is a local school for K-12 children with mental and/or physical disabilities • Fall Festival on Tuesday, October 29th from 9:30am-1:30pm, there will be two sessions of this event! The morning session is from 9:30-12:30 and will involve the pre-k kids. The second session will run from 12pm-3pm and will involve all of the remaining kids.

  5. To Sign Up… Fill out the Volunteer application • The web address is www.sbac.edu • Click the link for Community about 1/4 way form the top of the page • Then click Volunteer & Business Partnerships...this will take you to the online application page. • At the bottom of the page under News there is a link for NEW Online Application, click that link and follow the instructions

  6. By the End of this Month, we will all be FALL FESTIVAL PROS!

  7. SOTA Fall Festival • October 26th from 12pm-3pm at Forest Park • Two shifts to sign up for (11am-1:00pm and 1:00-3:30ishpm) • Sign up sheet is going around right now so you can sign up for the station you would like to work at! DIY Trick or Treat Bags Face Painting Field Games Cookie Decorating OT Spider Webs Slime Station

  8. SOTA Fall Festival • There will also be a raffle at the event, to help raise money for Balance180! Also, a photography station for families to get family pictures, and the Balance180 obstacle course will be there too • We will be wearing our new SOTA t-shirts (!), or an old SOTA shirt or UF shirt if you do not have a club shirt • Wear Halloween accessories and get creative! Wigs, hats, socks, jewelry, etc (just not scary and make sure it is kid appropriate!)

  9. Yogurtology Fall Festival Fundraiser • To support the Fall Festival, go to Yogurtologybetween 11am and 11pm this FRIDAY, October 18th and make sure to put your receipt in the little bucket next to the cash register! • All proceeds will go to Balance 180 at our Fall Festival!

  10. Now Let’s Make Some Posters! • We need posters that say… • Face Painting • B180 Obstacle Course • Family Pictures • Cookie Decorating • Make Your Own Trick or Treat Bag • Slime Station • Field Games • Make Spider Webs • Family Fall Festival This Way!
