  8. Responsibilities of PEPP Course Coordinator (1 of 3) • Maintain integrity of program • Select and communicate with a PEPP Medical Advisor • Select appropriate Faculty • Ensure participant and Faculty evaluations for course are completed

  9. Responsibilities of PEPP Course Coordinator (2 of 3) • Maintain direct communication with the AAP • Coordinate logistical issues • Manage course budget • Address educational principles within the structure of the course

  10. Responsibilities of PEPP Course Coordinator (3 of 3) • Be present for entire course and supervise all aspects of the course • Submit completed course rosters to the AAP • Ensure the safety of participants

  12. PEPP Medical Advisor Requirements • Physician (MD or DO) • Current responsibilities in the local or regional EMS system • Know local and/or regional EMS jurisdictional protocols

  13. Responsibilities of PEPP Medical Advisor (1 of 2) • Provide direction and advice for the Course Coordinator • Review the course content • Recommend potential Faculty if needed

  14. Responsibilities of PEPP Medical Advisor (2 of 2) • Identify and clarify jurisdictional and protocol issues to be addressed in the course • Serve as a Faculty member if possible

  15. PEPP Faculty Requirements • Health care professional • Appropriately trained for the course and audience that they are teaching

  16. Responsibilities of PEPP Faculty • Facilitate learning process • Be familiar with course structure and material • Work with PEPP Course Coordinator and other Faculty • Read materials related to PEPP Faculty

  17. PEPP Course Requirements (1 of 2) • Course size • 1:6 Faculty to participant ratio • Enough equipment for Skill Stations • Room requirements • Large room for Lectures • Four breakout areas

  18. PEPP Course Requirements (2 of 2) • Audiovisual Equipment • LCD projector and screen • Computer with CD-ROM drive • DVD player • Monitor

  19. Continuing Education Credit • At this time, the AAP does not award continuing education credits for PEPP Courses • Course Coordinators should work with the appropriate agency in their area to arrange for securing continuing education credits

  20. Publicizing the PEPP Course on the PEPP Website • Go to www.PEPPsite.com and complete the online course notification in the Course Coordinator Only section or • Complete the Course Notification Form in the Appendices of the Resource Manual and mail it to the AAP
