  1. Pan American Metals of Miami says Not All Investors are Created Equal (1888PressRelease) Investors' motivation may affect the market. MIAMI, FL - As gold continues to outperform other assets and seems determined to reach $1800 and beyond, we ask ourselves, just who are the buyers that are driving the price upwards? First, we have the traditional investor, a middle-aged baby boomer perhaps, who is not in the top 1% by any means but is nevertheless fairly comfortably off and is looking to protect wealth. No doubt this investor exists; however, statistics tell us that the gold market is now attracting more and more investors from generation Y, a generation that may be more distrustful of stocks and equities. Both these investors may be physical gold buyers, holding on to their investment as insurance against an uncertain future. Then, we have speculators. Speculators will watch the market and trends closely; they will be more inclined to take profits whenever there is a significant rise and then buy back their gold when the price goes down far enough. This group will continue to make sizeable profits if they time their trades right but their actions also help drive the market, causing corrections whenever gold makes large gains and causing a rally when gold falls by buying in the dips. Yet these investors are not necessarily interested in holding onto gold, their motivation tends to be short-term profit. "As we see more and more central banks stockpiling gold, we have to be aware that many people see gold as the ultimate form of wealth protection," says Bill Hionas, CEO of Pan American Metals of Miami. "There are definitely short-term profits to be made but prudent investors are holding on to their gold bullion as a hedge against economic uncertainty." Investors interested in adding gold bullion to their portfolio can contact the investment team at Pan American Metals of Miami for further information. About us:
