  2. Ons moet dus baie styf vashou aan die boodskap wat ons gehoor het sodat ons tog nie dalk wegdryf nie. 2 Die woord wat God deur engele aan ons gegee het, het nog altyd onwrikbaar vas gestaan. Daarby is mense tereg gestraf vir elke oortreding van God se wet en elke daad van ongehoorsaamheid. 3 Wat laat ons dan dink dat ons skotvry daarvan sal afkom as ons ons rug draai op so ’n wonderlike reddingsboodskap – ’n boodskap wat ons Here Jesus eerste begin verkondig het en wat daarna deur dié wat Hom gehoor het, aan ons as die vasstaande waarheid deurgegee is. 4 God het ook nog hierdie waarheid verder bevestig deur tekens en wonderwerke, deur allerlei kragtige dade en deurdat Hy sy Gees aan mense toebedeel soos Hy dit goedvind.
