STARTER… • Anatomy - the branch of science concerned with the bodily structure of humans, animals, and other living organisms, especially as revealed by dissection and the separation of parts. • Physiology- the branch of biology that deals with the normal functions of living organisms and their parts. The way in which a living organism or bodily part functions. Q. Come up with your own definitions using these as guides – Use your phones if you need to look up a word. USE THEM IN A SENTENCE IN YOUR BOOKS. Physiology is the study of how living things work. Anatomy is the science of the structure of living things. Vesalius was an anatomist & a physician.

  3. LO: What changes occurred during the Renaissance Period? D – Describe the changes that occurred during the Renaissance period. B – Explain the impact of these changes to the Medicine. A – Evaluate the changes and impact on Medicine.

  4. TASK You have 15 minutes to create a PlayDoh collage of information about the changes during the Renaissance Period. Q. What medical changes occurred during the Renaissance Period? • Treatment… • Knowledge… • Anatomy… • Factors… • Judgment – How significant were these changes? You will present your creations and information to the rest of the class.

  7. TASK - Homework… Plan an answer for the following Question. MIND MAP IT What have you learnt today… Why did the discoveries of the Renaissance make little practical difference to medical treatment in the period c1500 –c1700? (12) This will be your homework, to answer it! You are to go to the Blog on WatHistory and on the question there is an add comment button – this will enable me to see your comment and eventually others… this means we can share our answers with each other!   8. TASK Write a Question on the piece of card about the course that we have covered so far. Write the answer at the bottom of the card. We will then play Quiz Quiz Trade. You will ask your question to a person around the room, wait for them to answer the question. They will then ask their question. Trade cards and REPEAT!
