Fashion in the 1700s. A corset was something a women wore around her waist to appear skinnier. Panniers was an accesory worn in the 1760s increasing the size of a woman’s hips . An everyday working woman usually had no more than 2-4 low class outfits.

  2. A corset was something a women wore around her waist to appear skinnier.

  3. Panniers was an accesory worn in the 1760s increasing the size of a woman’s hips .

  4. Aneveryday working woman usually had no more than 2-4 low class outfits.

  5. A fashionable women wore fancy attire as if she were going to court, or a ball.

  6. Men’s Clothing • Men who had unskilled jobs such as shopkeepers, butchers, and fishermen wore clothes with a ruffled shirt and a pair of breeches.

  7. Low and Middle Class Children • Girls and boys didn’t have elaborate clothing like upper class children they wore simple clothing such as aprons or dresses.

  8. Upper Class Children • Upper class children usually had on their clothes for play unless they were attending a formal occasion.
