Creation and the Fall In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. The Spirit God said, "Let there be light, and there was light."
God saw that it was good, so he said, "Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life." He created whales, and every living creature that moves.
"Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and the beast of the earth after his kind."
So God created man in his own image; male and female he created them. "Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and have dominion over the fish of the sea."
God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there he put the man who he had formed. God commanded the man saying, "Of every tree in the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for of the day that thou eatest thereof shalt surely die."
The serpent convinced the woman to eat from the tree that God told her not to eat. God proceeded to give Adam and Eve some evils of life; therefore, they were introduced to good and bad.
Noah's Ark God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil. Only Noah found grace in the eyes of the lord. God told Noah to build an Ark to protect him and his family from the flood he was constructing to kill all flesh. Two of every kind, cattle, and creeping thing will be present on the ship.
After one hundred and fifty days, Noah sent out a raven and a dove. The dove returned with an olive leaf, so Noah knew that the waters were abated from earth.
"I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and earth that the bow shall be seen in the cloud. This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh this is upon the earth."
