  2. Pre-Calculus • Pre Calculus is a college prep math course requiring mature, responsible learners. • Course includes concepts of advanced algebra and trigonometry in preparation for a study of analytic geometry and calculus. Prerequisite: A, B or C in Intermediate Algebra.

  3. Course Topics • Graphs, Functions and Models • Polynomial and Rational Functions • Exponential and Logarithmic Functions • Trigonometric Functions • Course is broken up into to different topics. Semester one is advanced algebra and semester two is trigonometry.

  4. Course Materials • Text: PRE CALCULUS (Blitzer) • A notebook used only for Pre Calculus and graph paper. • Your own scientific calculator, not your smart phone!

How to succeed in math class • Take good notes • Rewrite your notes neatly in a separate notebook while reviewing them for understanding • Pay attention during lessons • Actively listen in class, ask questions • Be an active learner not passive • Make good use of class time • Take advantage of test reviews • Solve extra problems for practice • Take advantage of Youtube for lessons.
