Surah YASIN AYAT 20 TO 29 • وَجَاء مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَى قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَلِينَ 20 اتَّبِعُوا مَن لاَّ يَسْأَلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ 21 وَمَا لِي لاَ أَعْبُدُ الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ 22 أَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ الرَّحْمَن بِضُرٍّ لاَّ تُغْنِ عَنِّي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يُنقِذُونِ 23 إِنِّي إِذًا لَّفِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍ 24 إِنِّي آمَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ 25 قِيلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ قَوْمِي يَعْلَمُونَ 26 بِمَا غَفَرَ لِي رَبِّي وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ 27 وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى قَوْمِهِ مِن بَعْدِهِ مِنْ جُندٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاء وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ 28 إِن كَانَتْ إِلاَّ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَامِدُونَ 29

  2. Surah YASIN AYAT 20 TO 29 • And there came running from the furthest part of the city a man; he said, `my people, follow the Envoys ;(20). Follow those who do not ask of you any wage, and who are guided.(21). And why should not I serve Him who originated me and to whom you shall be returned?(22). Shall I take, apart from Him, gods whose intercession, if the All-merciful desires to harm me, shall not avail me in the least, nor will they rescue me?(23) In that case I should indeed be clearly astray.(24) I believe in your Lord, so hear me.'(25) It was said, `enter Paradise.' He said, `ah, would that my people knew,(26), how my Lord has forgiven me and has placed me among the honored.'(27) And We did not send down upon his people, after him, any host from the heaven, and We never send down any.(28) It was only one Cry, and lo, they were silent and still.(29)

  5. INTRODUCTION SURAH YASIN • NAME OF SURAH • WHAT IS YA - SIN • Can a name of person be used as YA – SIN • Why it is called heart of quran • Why it is to be recited on dying people

  6. وَجَاء مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَى قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَلِينَ And there came running from the furthest part of the city a man; he said, `my people, follow the Messenger 20 • Background of the story • Is the name of city and Messenger is important here • What is the relevance of came “Running” • What is the relevance of furthest part of city • Why he interfered between the people and the messengers

  7. اتَّبِعُوا مَن لاَّ يَسْأَلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ 21 Follow those who do not ask of you any wage, and who are guided.(21). • Continuation of previous Ayah • Is following some one is a must or one can be independent • What was the reasoning/logic for his request • Is the reason given by him is a test for prophet hood • Is not asking wage/reward is enough proof for prophet hood. • How to check that some one is guided or on right track

  8. وَمَا لِي لاَ أَعْبُدُ الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ 22 And why should not I serve/worship Him who originated me and to whom you shall be returned? • Is it a simple question, or statement • Who has the right to be worshipped • Why some one need worshipping • Why he used word “ME” for creating, and “YOU” for the return • How the return / end is important for worshipping

  9. أَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ الرَّحْمَن بِضُرٍّ لاَّ تُغْنِ عَنِّي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يُنقِذُونِ Shall I take, apart from Him, gods whose intercession, if the All-merciful desires to harm me, shall not avail me in the least, nor will they rescue me?(23) • Is it a simple question, or statement • Does the right of worship is for rescuer • Can any one intercede in the judgment of God • Can any one save / rescue from the punishment of God • Who has / will have the right of intercession • For whom intercession will / may be allowed • How the return / end is important for worshipping

  10. إِنِّي إِذًا لَّفِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍ 24 إِنِّي آمَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ 25 In that case I should indeed be clearly astray.(24) I believe in your Lord, so hear me.'(25) • Continuation from previous Ayah • What is astray, and how it is open • Why he said “YOUR” Lord • Why believing in Lord entitled him to be heard

  11. قِيلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ قَوْمِي يَعْلَمُونَ 26 It was said, `enter Paradise.'
