Indonesian translation: Abridged Edition15 plus expansions from DDC 23 • Start with everything from Abridged Edition15 • Add records from DDC 23 for T2—5981-T2—5986 • Incorporate the full development from DDC 23 for 297 • Expand 305.899 to include notation from T5—9912, T5—992, T5—9922+, T5—9928, and T5—995 • Make a similar expansion based on the parallel T6 notation under 499 and 899 • Incorporate the full development from DDC 23 under 959.8

Vietnamese translations: Abridged Edition 14 first . . . . • Abridged Edition 14 expanded in similar ways for the Vietnamese translation (published in 2006) • Interoperable expansions sometimes went beyond DDC 22 • Expanded notation and captions can be seen in the Abridged Edition 14 parts of dewey.info

  6. Vietnamese translations: . . . . now DDC 23 • Meanwhile, the National Library of Vietnam is working on a translation of DDC 23 • As before, parts will go beyond DDC 23, e.g., T2—597+ • Expected to be published in early 2013

Arabic DDC 23 • New Arabic translation of DDC 23 under way at Bibliotheca Alexandrina • Publication expected by end of 2012 • Expansions of 297.1-.8 Islam will appear in 200 Religion Class and be incorporated in DDC 23 in WebDewey • Expansions for Koran, Islamic religious law, Mecca • Provisions for Shiite sects Alawis and Alevis now under review • Expansions for Islamic law in 340s under development

Swedish mixed DDC 23 • DDC data in Swedish as framework • English-language classes from full edition to complete hierarchies • Standard terminology for instructions in the language of each record (e.g., “Klassificera här:” / “Class here”) • Separate indexes featuring the terminology available in each language • National Library of Sweden launched a preliminary version under the new WebDewey 2.0 interface in mid-December 2011
