  2. Agenda • PID Product numbers • Language Group reconfiguration • New ePoE feature codes • IBM i Processor License transfer • LPAR Indicator Features & Group Levels • Rational Dev. Studio / Zend Core • Media Charges / iSeries Access (XW1) • Electronic Software download / Other items • IBM i System support • Reference Documents

  3. SS1, SSA, SSB and SSC Product numbers • Operating system still billed with these PID numbers • - 5770-SSx versus 5761-SSx • SSA = Additional Processor Licenses • SSB = Application Server License • SSC = Licensing by User

  4. IBM i 7.1 Multi-Language Distribution Media • IBM i 6.1 and previous versions/releases packaged each NLV separately for keyed media set • 51 National Language Versions (NLVs) supported • Order each primary language used • Order each secondary language used • Multiple media sets for installing primary and secondary languages • IBM i 7.1 packages 51 NLVs into 3 language groups for keyed media set • One language group will deliver 11-21 NLVs, depending on group ordered • US English included in each language group • Install as many primary and secondary languages as desired from the group • When installing release upgrade, system will install the same NLV as on current release • Otherwise, select language / NLV desired and then proceed with installation • Expect majority of customers to need only one language group • Can order more than one group, if desired, using 5770-NLV • Provides simplified ordering and software delivery • Secondary language media can still be ordered, if desired • No change for products (LPs) shipped individually, these continue to ship the product with all languages/NLVs

  7. Change in ePoE range of features • New ePoE upgrade features 2XXX versus 6XXX See examples on slide 9….

  8. Additional IBM i 7.1 Per Processor licenses • ePOE Registration for x licenses: NOTE: For i 7.1, a single feature with a quantity is used to represent the total number of Per Processor and User entitlements. For i 6.1. a range of features was used (ie. 6001, 6002, etc). • 6000 (Qty=x) - This feature is put on the 5770-SS1 order to represent the number of i 7.1 per processor licenses the customer is entitled to for all models. This quantity will include both the base and additional licenses. • 6100 (Qty=x) - This feature is put on the 5770-SS1 order to represent the number of users the customer is entitled to. The quantity represents a "block of 5" users. • 6200 (Qty=x) - This feature is put on the 5770-SS1 order to represent the number of i 7.1 Application Servers licenses the customer is entitled to for all models. Application Server licenses can only be ordered as additional licenses. • 6398 (Qty=1) - Feature code to represent Unlimited Users (for both Unlimited Users and Collaboration Users). Put on the 5770-SS1 order if either Unlimited Users and Collaboration Users are selected. • 6399 (Qty=1)- Feature code to represent Unlimited External Access. Put on the 5770-SS1 order if Unlimited External Access users are ordered.
