  10. Globalization and ME Each morning I wake up and make my coffee from Ethiopia in my German made coffee maker. I eat granola filled with honey from Mexico, grains from the Midwest and almonds from South America. I get dressed for work in clothes imported from Vietnam and Great Britain, jump in my Japanese car and turn on the radio to listen to my favorite radio show on NPR, “The World”. I meet my fellow teachers before school and talk about our summer vacations to South Korea, Sweden and Prague. My neighbor from Bucks County studied abroad in Spain and now needs to set up a student teacher experience in the World Language Department so my friend from Cuba who heads the department is willing to meet with him. My shoes are from Spainand I bought them with a bank credit card from a bank that has branches and offices all around the world. They called the other night to say there was some “suspicious activity” and asked if I had recently been to Italy? The customer service rep was in India and solved my problem 2000 miles away.
