Briefing • Salome with the Head of St. John the Baptist painting was stolen from the Phoenix Art Museum at some point yesterday as the museum is closed on Mondays. • Curator of the museum Linda Strauss was conducting her usual walk about the gallery this morning in preparation for a staff meeting which was to take place at 11am today. During this walk through she noticed the painting missing from the wall. • This painting is valued at 5.5 million dollars at auction.
