  2. When you need a bill of materials for a single part or entire orders… BusinessWorks does not have a nested Bill of Materials/Requirements Report

  3. In BusinessWorks - to retrieve bill of material information… Run a subassembly report And Hand-compile requirements This report is sufficient for a single level product But if you have a product with multiple levels of parts and assembly….. You NEED BSoft !!!!!!

  4. With BSoft you have the solution… • A Nested Bill of Materials spread sheet AND • A summarized materials requirement report • For single level or multiple level part builds • So, how does it work? Let’s take a look!

Select the product or product range you want a parts list and BOM for • Enter the quantity desired • Hit “Add” • Repeat this step for every desired part • Or select the range and limit the output to a specific product line • Hit “Add Range” • Than “Run Rpt: Open BSoft’s BuildSS… This will generate a detailed Bill of Materials/Build report

  6. BSoft’s BuildSS example… • Desired parts list and BOM for • 10 TM Deloreans • 15 TM Hummers • 12 TM Vectras • Then “Run Rpt: This will generate a detailed Parts List and Bill of Materials Build report

  9. BSoft’s dynamic report can be manipulated to provide answers to “What if” questions • Simply enter the new quantity in “Quantity Req” in the “Build Tree” tab What if you need 50 “TM Delorean” instead of 10? • Then select the “Material Requirement” tab

  10. What was initially an order for 10 can be changed to 50 showing… An increase in the number of parts required from 20,000 to 100,000 And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!!!!

  11. also provides the ability to find purchasing and building requirements for open sales orders • Five ways to run build reports by sales orders BSoft’s Bill of Material Spreadsheet • Today’s Orders: • Shows all orders entered on current day – using the same logic that BW uses to build its “today” reports • Order Date: • Defaults to give orders scheduled to be released in the last week. • Required Date: • Defaults to give orders scheduled to be released in the following week • Release Date: • Defaults to give orders scheduled to be released in the current week • All Open Orders: • Shows all open orders that the company needs to have filled at any time

The two commonly used options are “Today’s Orders” and “All Open Orders” “Today’s Orders” option can be used to generate a “Just in Time” raw materials consumption report “All Open Orders” will give you a comprehensive summary of all parts and materials needed to fill all outstanding sales order While both options are beneficial… That’s not all!!!

BSoft’s Product Build provides more specific information through the use of additional filters… “Selected By” allows you to search within specified date range. “Order Range” lets you select orders by order number. “Customer Range” will refine the search based on customer ID. • Be aware that when multiple filters are selected, the order must fulfill all filter requirements to be included in the report

  14. BSoft’s Product Build Report in action • Once the desired filters have been selected simply hit “Choose” • The qualifying orders will be displayed on the open area of the screen • Now “Run Rpt”

  15. The “Build Tree” tab shows: • Sales order number • Order date • The level of materials required “All Open Orders” provides a detailed report with information about each open sales order… But wait, there’s more !

  16. “All Open Orders” also provides you with a complete list of materials required to fulfill open sales orders… The “Materials Requirement” tab shows: Parts/Materials Required Amount required Amount in stock Even cost information is shown All the information you need to order and produce your products is right at your fingertips!!!

  18. Product Build Report also offers an additional Cost Verification Mode. This feature allows for instant verification of current sales pricing short falls in relation to current product costs. Pricing can easily be updated on the Vendor setup option in Maintain Parts.

Alternate Reporting with BSoft’s Product Build Report’s “True Requirement” Mode • The “True Requirement” mode modifies the Product Build Report’s output. • Only shows a drill down of the parts that have insufficient quantity on hand • Maintains a cumulative I/S quantity as prior order needs are addressed • Provides the cumulative required production amount, in the “production requirements” tab to fulfill selected orders BSoft’s Product Build Report, offers guidance and support for your production needs.
