ICD-10Commonwealth of Virginia Shared ICD 10 Education Program • Of the more than 120 hospitals surveyed by Health Revenue Assurance Holdings Inc. (OTCBB: HRAA), a provider of technology and revenue integrity solutions for healthcare organizations, approximately half are not following official Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) timelines on preparing for the ICD-10 transition. • Survey Highlights: • Of the hospitals surveyed: • 40 percent have not begun ICD-10 CM training for coding staff; • 55 percent have not begun ICD-10-PCS training for coding staff; • 47 percent have not begun document improvement education for medical staff; • 31 percent do not plan to dual code prior to October 1, 2014.

ICD-10Commonwealth of Virginia Shared ICD 10 Education Program The Proposed Opportunity • Jointly offering a general ICD 10 education program for physicians and medical professionals (mid levels) throughout Virginia. Would consist of general introduction to ICD 10 (ie 101, 201 type curriculum). • Half day (3-4 hours) • Planning to be undertaken in first half of 2013 with education sessions commencing in 2nd quarter of 2013

Variety of communication mediums • Obtaining and purchasing content from existing courses that have already been developed by national experts.
ICD-10Commonwealth of Virginia Shared ICD 10 Education Program The Proposed Opportunity • Courses level offered would be 101 201 type curriculum with the understanding that more specific education would be required at each entity • Continuing Education (CME)credits would be offered • The program would be open to any interested Virginia based health system, association, or society.

ICD-10Commonwealth of Virginia Shared ICD 10 Education Program The Plan (so far) • April 15th meeting • Stakeholders plus, physician input refined the vision • 5-10 minute PSA type (prerecorded, webcast, widely distributed) commercial for ICD 10 readiness by “top doc” • 1 hour overview with links out to specialty specific overview • Some face to face but mostly web enabled • Leverage existing vehicles to deploy Medical society meetings, hospital executive committees, etc. • Track education and give physicians credit that applies to all hospitals where they practice. • CME credit
