Understanding Present Progressive in English and Spanish: Uses and Formation

This chapter explores the present progressive tense in both English and Spanish. In English, it's utilized to describe actions occurring now or in the future, such as "I am studying." In Spanish, it solely indicates ongoing actions, not future ones. The formation includes the verb "ESTAR" combined with the present participle (-ing form). Special considerations for stem-changing and spelling in the present participle are highlighted, along with examples like "está hablando" and "está comiendo." This guide helps learners master the present progressive tense across languages.
