  3. SCLB went to see “Fox”. • x

  4. After the bushfire... • x

  5. x • ... Magpie was hurt. Her wing was broken when a tree fell on her. • Along came Dog, who only had one good eye. Magpie thought that Dog was going to eat her.

  6. x Dog with one eye. • Dog wanted to be Magpie’s friend. • Magpie will be Dog’s missing eye and Dog will be Magpie’s broken wing.

  7. x • Dog put Magpie on his back and jumped over the water. Magpie thought their reflection was a strange animal but Dog said, “It is just us.” • Then Fox came into the forest with his red coat and brown boots.

  8. x • Dog and Magpie thought Fox looked scary. Fox kept looking at Magpie. • “I can run faster than Dog,” said Fox to Magpie. “You will like flying with me.”

  9. x • Fox ran with Magpie into the hot desert. He took her off his back and left her on the sand.

  10. x • Dog tried to find Magpie because Dog and Magpie were friends. Fox was jealous. He ran away and went back home. • Magpie was still in the hot desert.

  11. x • The actors used puppets, costumes and actions to tell the story of “Fox”. They used white cloth for Magpie’s wings when she was remembering how to fly. • The singer had long hair. She sang the story of Fox, Dog and Magpie.
