  4. Schedule: Past Vacuum problems: L05 J17 I17 sprung a leak this week. Likely due to Gold beam striking the flange weld. Changing (again) the way we do business with Gold in the AGS and Booster.

  5. Schedule: Future • APEX is scheduled for tonight Tuesday 18 Dec 2007, beginning at 9:00PM finishing by 8:00AM tomorrow. • Maintenance Day follows APEX, with Injectors OFF at 7:00AM and beam restored to RHIC beginning at 4:00PM. • C-AD Holiday Open House tomorrowfrom 9:00-10:30. • Next maintenance day set for 2 Jan 2008, immediately preceded by an APEX shift. • Continue to push to improve delivered beam • Decreasing Deuteron background in PHENIX. • Decreasing ALL backgrounds in STAR.
