Uncertainty in Wireless Sensor Networks

This research discusses the significant role of uncertainty in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) and its impact on various applications such as habitat monitoring, military surveillance, and intelligent transportation systems. Uncertainty arises from natural unpredictability and limitations in capturing real-world data, categorized into communication, sensing, and data uncertainties. Key challenges include modeling link quality and network connectivity, implementing probabilistic routing, and managing uncertain data effectively. Strategies for improving reliability and operational efficiency in WSNs are explored.
