  3. UNITARY • Single national government has all the power. • One central government, most common in the world, works best with small populated countries, one level is easy to deal with.

Questions—Power and how it is distributed? • In this type of government the national government has all the power. • In this form of government power is shared with smaller governments (provinces/states). • In this form of government the power is in the smaller state governments or provinces. • This type of government is where you would most likely see a dictatorship. • In this type of government most of the power is in the hands of the national government, but some power is reserved for the states.
